Machining of Lead

John Caunt Scientific are able to offer a fully custom lead shield manufacture service. Whether you require a specific sized lead pot, a custom made lead castle, detector shielding or even modifying exisiting lead shields, we are well positioned to offer any service you require.

Where we can help out with the design of lead shield, and certainly can advise on attenuation factors and required lead thickness, we generally work to customer-provided drawings.

Moulds for flexible shielding

Flexible shielding such as our Flex Boron neutron shield offer many alternatives that regular shielding simple can't such as the useing the same peice of shielding to wrap round pipes of different diameters. However for more specialist shaping and to save man hours we can pre mould the shielding to your exact requirements.
