The NMS2100 utilises a central SP9 detector and six 6 Li coated Si diodes mounted within the moderator. The two separate detector systems can determine accurate dose equivalent rates and provide a crude indication of the soft or hardness of a neutron field.

Note this instrument should only be used in relatively high neutron fields.
