The GMS2000

One detector measures both gamma and beta content to a very high sensitivity. The GMS2000 comprises of a probe and a wrist mounted electronic unit. The electronic unit has a rotary mode switch, an analogue display, a digital display, a radiation present indicator and start and stop buttons.

• An Innovative design in NORM detection and measurement
• Simple controls and easy to read analogue and digital displays
• One detector measures both gamma and beta content to a very high sensitivity
• Tested and approved by Shell and BP in operational use
• The Base unit is designed to be attached to the arm, allowing easy transportation and
operator manoeuvrability.
• Commissioned and funded by Shell, designed and developed by Aberdeen University with support from JCS and BAe Systems.
• Produce graphs, reports and backup measurements via your PC / PDA with the v data logger / recorder

The GMS2000b option enables the arm unit and detector to be linked to the JCS DC2 data logger. This creates a powerful and extremely portable detection and logging system. The data logger / recorder is supplied with operational software which allows the user to easily store data for downloading on to a PC or PDA. Detector counts, calculated dose rates and time intervals can be downloaded from the logger to an Excel file for later analysis, providing an ideal way to produce reports, graphs, share data gathered or simply backing up data taken for later review. The configuration of the DC2 data logger and the analysis of data is achieved by using a PC application.
